What did your goals look like when you first started ROW?
I was looking to add more cardio into my workout. I am not a fan of running, so I was having trouble figuring out how to do that in a way that motivated me. I tried ROW and loved it.
What results have you achieved since you have started coming to ROW Studios?
I have been here for a few years, so it’s hard to even remember what I was like when I started! I definitely am stronger, leaner and faster - which I’m proud of since I’m now in my 50’s! And I can hold plank longer than my 16 year old son. So THERE.
What did you like most, or find most valuable, about your experience at ROW?
The great thing about ROW is the ability to set and easily measure achievement toward your own personal goals. You can see it in your split times each and every class. At first you can hold a certain split for a few seconds, then it becomes 15 seconds, then 30, then you are rowing it regularly and setting your sights on the next goal. And the times or distances are personal to you - doesn’t matter what they are as long as you can see yourself getting there. Same with All Strength classes - you can easily track your progress. And it feels awesome when you do something you couldn’t do a month or two or three ago. One of these days I will be able to do a proper, unassisted pull-up. Then I will retire :)
How else have you benefited from joining our community?
I have met some really great people, both coaches and members. We all have times when we struggle getting motivated to workout. It’s a nice feeling to walk into a place and be greeted by people you know want to get it done, just like you. I am definitely motivated and inspired by the people around me at ROW.
