What motivates you to get up in the morning?
God is good, life is beautiful, and I truly love what I get to do every day. Oh, and coffee! Lol
What inspired you to dive into the fitness world?
Fitness has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. I started gymnastics around 3 years old, and I was competitive by the time I was 6. I continued into HS, tumbling for the cheer team, and ranked in the top female pole vaulters for the state of Michigan. I graduated with my B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Houston in 2014. Having a successful career in fitness has always been a goal of mine.
What brought you to ROW?
My girl, Hannah, invited me to take an All Body class with her. I knew it was meant to be as soon as I saw the espresso machine and gum, haha! The workout was amazing and I loved the crew right away!
What are your personal fitness goals?
I enjoy giving myself new goals and challenges often to keep things fun, whether it be to lean out, increase endurance, or add muscle. Overall, I try to maintain a healthy eating regiment, a consistent workout schedule, and throw in a couple cheat days here and there.
What would your perfect workout look like?
It depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to lift heavy, other days I want a high intensity workout, but every day is ab day!
What are your favorite cheat meals?
Five Guys bacon cheeseburger
Harry's whole wheat blueberry pancakes with crispy bacon, covered in syrup
The Breakfast Klub fried chicken and waffles
Dunkin Donuts coffee coolatta
Pretty much any kids cereal
Hershey's milk chocolate... and the list goes on!
What does your rest day look like?
Epson salt bubble baths and snuggling on the couch with my pup to catch up on sleep.
What is your best advice for people wanting to build a healthier lifestyle?
The biggest challenge is getting started. Once you get going, find consistency in your workout routine and keep pushing!
